Age-by-age care

General paediatric care and consultations — the clinic's own description of what it offers, and the one thing every age group has in common.

Paediatric care generally spans birth through the teenage years. That is a description of the field, not a statement of this clinic's own policy for every age — the fastest way to confirm it for your own child is to ask before you travel to the clinic.

Newborn and infant

The first year is generally when checkups are most frequent — growth, feeding, and the early vaccination schedule are usually the focus. First-time parents commonly have the most questions at this stage.

Toddler and preschool

From about age one to five, visits generally track growth and development milestones alongside the ongoing vaccination schedule, and cover the common childhood illnesses that come with starting playgroup or preschool.

School age

Once a child is in school, visits are generally more occasional — for an illness, an injury, or a scheduled booster — rather than the frequent early checkups of the first few years.

Teenage years

Paediatric care commonly continues through the teenage years for those who prefer to stay with a doctor who already knows the child's history, rather than starting again with someone new.
